05-07/04/2024, DOIRAN
The 5th scientific - educational meeting was successfully organized by the South Eastern European Foundation On Reinforcing Workgroups in Academic & Research Development (SEEFORWARD), a framework established by colleagues in academia at the School of Civil Engineering, Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (AUTH) and the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering at Ss. Cyril and Methodius University, Skopje. The aim of the meeting was to enhance the culture of cross-border cooperation, especially regarding renewable energy sources. Students from both universities had the chance to participate into a workshop that included teamwork, projects assignments and presentations of results on specific issues concerning: (a) water management and hydropower, (b) circular economy, and (c) solar energy production through photovoltaic panels and net metering. The workshop's program, also, included a visit to the Waste Water Treatment facility in Doiran.
Participants from both countries had the chance to exchange views and discuss on common issues of interest and, moreover, make proposals to manage these issues.
