Research Interests	Analysis and Design of Reinforced Concrete (RC) Structures, Seismic analysis and behavior of RC structures, Experimental research of the behavior of RC members under cyclic loading, Repair and Strengthening techniques of RC structures, use of FRP sheets and FRP cords, use of PZTs for Structural Health Monitoring (SHM) Professor Karayannis has been included in the list of top 2% scientists worldwide as conducted by the Stanford University for the years 2020 and 2021 “updated science wide author data base of standardized citation indicators”
