The attenuation and wave-reflection arrangement that was finally chosen consisted of cellular box caissons with 8 cells (4 at the front - 4 at the back), six (6) circular holes on each front cell, 1.00-m diameter, placed in three sets of two. The first set will always be above the mean water level and the other two below (relative to the mean water level). At the front inner walls, respectively, 0.80-diameter holes are placed in a similar way. |
The proposed attenuation arrangement has a reflection factor equal to 0.40 and presents small rates of excessive wave disturbance.
