CONNECTING BRIDGE
Connection
of the artificial island with the coastal zone is achieved through a
bridge. The bridge is 44.28-m wide and 41.38-m long, allowing the design
of a total of six lanes. Two of them will serve the quay walls of cruise
ships in the western part, and the other four will serve traffic from
and to car ferries and the future planned marina. |

Deck and Columns with bridge |
It is constructed
at an adequate height, so as to allow the transit of small boats from
one basin to another. It also allows the circulation and renewal of
waters from both formed basins. The bridge deck is seated on columns of artificial blocks. Slabs supported at both ends with concrete built in-sites with the aid of sliding steel formworks was choosen as the most practical mode of construction. |
