MODE OF CONSTRUCTION - CONCRETE CONSTRUCTION

Slabs supported at both ends with concrete, built in-sites, with the aid of sliding steel formworks was choosen as the most practicable mode of construction.

The construction of end columns (quay walls) and
center columns is followed by the construction of the deck. This part is poured in-sites. (head block for the seating of the bridge).
The sliding steel formwork is placed and the movement of inner jacks is provided.

At the upper indentation of the head block the pads supporting the deck are placed. Before the pouring process of the concrete for the deck this indentation is coverd with gravel to the top level of the pad. The gravel is covered with plastic. After the concrete obtains the required strength, the plastic is removed. The gravel is also removed with the aid of water pressure.
