Concrete Construction After installation of the boxes, riprap filling of their
back cells, construction of the relief prism and landfills behind
the cellular box caissons, follows the construction of the caisson
superstructure slab. |
|
Caisson superstructure slab |
The caisson superstructure slab is built of concrete
in situ, placed both directly on the ripraps of the back cells and
on prefabricated supporting slabs at the level of the
front-cells' roof. |
The superstructure slab is 0.50-m wide on the roof where the final layer of concrete is spread for the formation of castings. At the locations of ramps of the car ferries, enhanced reinforcement is placed. |
