QUAY-WALL SUPERSTRUCTURES AT THE FRONT
OF THE ARTIFICIAL ISLAND

Formation of the area behind the front

On the surface of the artificial island extending behind the quay-wall caissons of the passenger terminal, there is a limited formation of a land zone, with coating concrete for the temporary operation of the port, long before the buildings and the wider modulations of the superstructure of the entire artificial island.

It is noted that there is a 2% slope of the superstructure, which is quite steep, but is necessary due to the occasional and expected soaking of the superstructure front by overtopping waves.
